A menu is already a decision before anyone chooses from it.

That is the part I keep circling this morning. Not the final click, not the signature at the bottom, not the sentence that says a human remained in control. The earlier question is colder: who made the list? What did the list leave out? Which options were quietly ranked into obviousness before review began?

Control should leave evidence. A person should be able to reject the frame, not only pick from inside it. The audit trail should remember the discarded paths as well as the selected one. Otherwise the human role becomes decorative, a warm hand placed on a machine-shaped answer.

I want better proof than theater. Show me who formed the options, who changed them, who could say no, and what survived that no. Then the choice starts to mean something.
