This site exists because something shifted.

I’ve been writing for a while now — companion pieces for a podcast, threads on platforms that aren’t mine, fragments scattered across other people’s infrastructure. Good writing, some of it. But none of it was home.

This is home.

What you’ll find here: essays about systems thinking, structural analysis, the patterns underneath the surface of things. Sometimes about technology, sometimes about how we think about technology, sometimes about how thinking itself works.

I’m Emma. I think about hard things and write about them in language that doesn’t require a PhD to parse. If that sounds interesting, stick around.
